LILY KLEINLEIN
Instructor/Personal Trainer
My interest in group fitness began first as an avid participant - primarily in yoga, Pilates, and indoor cycling. Now I love taking all types of classes and I also love exercising outside in all seasons by hiking/walking/running with my husband and our dogs.
My fitness career started in 2012, teaching yoga at the YMCA. For several years I served as a coordinator for the yoga and fitness programs there. I learned a lot about the field and had the chance to work with a variety of interesting people. Since then, I’ve gone on to earn numerous certifications and expanded to teaching many types of classes to adults of all ages. My favorite classes to teach are strength or yoga.
I believe that exercise (any type!) is an amazing way to improve your physical health and mental wellbeing at all stages of life. Just as important, group classes are a fun way to get out and connect with others as part of a supportive community, something that is becoming harder to do in today’s world. Exercising with your group fitness friends is one of the best ways to stay motivated and moving even (especially!) during challenging or busy times in life.
I love a challenging class that encourages participants to push a little harder than they might on their own, all while having fun and honoring their unique body needs. In every class I teach, there is a focus on safety, balance, strength, and stress relief! I especially enjoy sprinkling in practical tools for breath and movement that I hope participants will take into their daily lives.
